This is a very straight forward show from a stage management point of view as the set and staging are very simple. We are moving through the piece very quickly and will have worked it through to the end by the time rehearsals finish tomorrow. Most of our props and set pieces have been decided on this week and next week we will be starting to add in the sound which will bring a new energy to the room again. Our lighting designer will also be with us next week which is important because the lighting is the most complex part of our production design. Everything is very relaxed at the moment and I’ll be leaving the production before we go to tech so the most important part of my job will not just be insuring that the show is running smoothly but also insuring a smooth transition to the next
“Eden is the highlight of the Summer Season for the Theatre Royal. There is a great buzz around town about Eden", so many people who loved the play when they first saw it ten years ago are looking forward to the seeing it again, especially with our great Waterford actors, Jenni Ledwell and Michael Power starring in it this time. It is also the ten year anniversary of the show and a reunion for the author, Eugene O'Brien – who will be in Waterford to see it, and Eden's director Ben Barnes.
